This is a unique workshop focused on experiencing the vagus nerve through a variety of movements and yoga nidra, a sleep-based form of meditation. You will be guided by Sara Becker, a Physical Therapist and owner of Releaseology, and Sarah Spearin, a certified Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing Practitioner, and owner of Syncing Into Bliss, LLC. This workshop will take place in the beautiful studio space at Mhoon Landing that has a vision of a world where all individuals, organizations, and communities have the resources and support to access healing, creativity, leadership, and sustainable growth—building a future grounded in wellness, equity, and collective empowerment.
This immersive workshop begins with Sara Becker who will help you understand the vagus nerve and its profound impact on your overall well-being. The vagus nerve influences your body’s responses to stress and regulates important functions like heart rate, inflammation, digestion, and emotional regulation. Led and developed by Releaseology this workshop has been designed to incorporate several ways to improve the activation of your vagus nerve with movements, self-massage and music to bring harmony to your vagus nerve. Come ready to move, relax, reset and learn about the wonders of the vagus nerve.
The workshop continues its vagus nerve theme, as Sarah Spearin helps the group to prepare for a yoga nidra journey. Often referred to as yogic sleep, yoga nidra is a sleep-based form of meditation meaning it’s practiced laying down or in a position most comfortable. Sarah will use her voice to guide the group through a blend of breathwork, guided imagery and physical relaxation techniques that require very little movement. Attendees will experience their brain waves dropping from beta, alpha to then theta. It’s that place where you are not awake, nor are you asleep. It’s a tiny window into the subconscious mind where we have the ability to reform unhealthy habits and thought patterns. This window is also where we experience a profound state of relaxation. Yoga nidra has significant effects on the vagus nerve ultimately leading to a healthy and balanced nervous system.

Note: this is a private residence. Mhoon Landing is the casita in the back of the main house. You can walk through the side gate to get to the backyard. Follow the pathway around the pool (see photos in the event). You will see the casita there!
Parking: You may park on the street or in the driveway. Please be respectful of the surrounding neighbors and do not block driveways.
Time: Please note that the timeline is a rough timeline depending on when people arrive and everyone getting settled in their spot
What to Expect: Majority of the class can be done in seated and laying down and will end with laying down.
Equipment: All props provided. Each person will be provided a yoga mat, a blanket, knee bolster, head and eye pillow. For those that require extra comfort, feel free to bring whatever else you need.
