Description:
Day 1
Myofascial massage is a gentle way to enhance the body’s natural healing capabilities through specialized stretching of the connective tissue (fascia) that surrounds muscles and organs. The goal of myofascial therapy is to soften the fascia so that it and underlying structures can move more freely. We will take time to review the nature and structure of fascia as well as how it interacts with the anatomy of the body. We will begin to learn different Myofascial technique applications.
Day 2
On our second day of class, we will begin with a recap of our day one learning and peer to peer practice. We will navigate some techniques that are useful with myofascial massage. We will also explore how and when to add the use of silicone cups. This will enhance all your myofascial work practiced on our day one.
Supplies to Bring: Sheet set, pen/pencil for notes, oil of your choice (more for day 2)
