This course will help therapists define trauma, how to identify characteristic behaviors of trauma survivors, and explore how to communicate and respond to survivors from a trauma informed care perspective. This course will specifically focus on trauma related to perinatal health experiences and outcomes.
In this 2-hour live webinar, students will:
explore the definition of trauma informed care through lecture and discussion of articles and other materials
learn why trauma informed care is particularly important in communicating with perinatal clients, and which clients are at higher risk for trauma
develop ways to communicate from a trauma informed approach with clients through role play and discussion
Certificate Policy: The initial certificate you receive after completing all requirements is included in your tuition. Replacement certificates are available for $10 each.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund (minus $5 registration fee) if registration is canceled at least two weeks prior to the training. If registration is canceled with at least 24 hours prior to the training, credit towards a future class will be granted.
