In this 2-hour live webinar, students will:
- Define trauma, and identify behaviors of trauma survivors
- Explore the definition of trauma informed care through lecture and discussion of articles and other materials
- Learn why trauma informed care is particularly important in communicating with perinatal clients, and which clients are at higher risk for trauma
- Develop ways to communicate from a trauma informed approach with clients through role play and discussion
